2D simulation of magnetic field generation by pulsating AC voltage in cold plasma chamber

Abstract

The importance of numerical modelling and simulation by means of finite element analysis (FEA) has witnessed an increase as computational capability and software development have been substantially improved. These techniques can provide unique insight and aid detailed analysis of phenomena such as plasma arcs. In this digest, a two dimensional cold plasma chamber model has been simulated in a Multiphysics FEA model considering thermal, electrical and magnetics properties on the generation of magnetic field around the arc discharge region.
